Mobile/ Cell phone, email. I’ve just received an email from our friend Bernard in North West Zambia. Sometimes communicating with Bernard and his wife Joyce is somewhat difficult, usually as he doesn’t have access to a computer or the weather has affected his mobile phone signal. I’m still amazed that we can still communicate even though he lives in a remote area with very few of the facilities we take for granted in the West.

It’s good to keep in touch and that he can keep us informed of the neeeds of the Children’s village in Ikelenge.

for a cold,sunny windy day. I walked into town, lovely to enjoy the fresh air.

I met a friend from church on the way home. She’s been widowed this year and misses her husband who she cared for through many years of ill-health. She’s an amazing testimony to God’s sustaining grace.

for being able to meet with the Lord’s people on the Lord’s day.

that we’ve been able to replace the guttering of the house (it had been leaking) and paint the exterior.

The painting was a much bigger undertaking than we’d anticipated.The house is rendered and when the painter came to paint the gable end of the house it was loose, you could have peeled it away . It had to be removed  and several layers of cement and exterior coating applied- house maintenenence is never simple! It  was completed before the wet and windy weather started. I’m thankful for safety for the men who did the work as the side of the house is high.
