Rebecca has a theme for October, I don’t think there could be a better one, it’s The Gospel, ….the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes… Romans 1:16
Here are some guidelines.
Post a quote, verse, poem, story, book review, or essay on a subject connected in some way to the gospel, send me an email with your link, and I’ll link back to your post (or posts) on the next Tuesday or Friday. There are no limits, really, on the form or number of your post, just the subject.
I’ve been reading through a book called Genesis 3 by E J Young recently, it’s out of print but worth reading if you ever come across a copy. There’s another book called The Gospel in Genesis by Henry Law which you can read here completely free.
This hymn is a translation by Bobi Jones of a hymn by William Williams, Pantycelyn ( Published in Christian Hymns)
In Eden-sad indeed that day-
My countless blessings fled away,
My crown fell in disgrace.
But on victorious Calvary
That crown was won again for me-
My life shall all be praise.
Faith, see the place, and see the tree
Where heaven’s Prince, instead of me,
Was nailed to bear my shame.
Bruised was the dragon by the Son,
Though two had wounds, there conquered One-
And Jesus was His name.
