I went to Worcester with my family earlier today. My husband and I walked along the River Severn and in the old part of the city near the Cathedral. We came across a wall where the flood level of the river is marked. The highest level was in December 1672, last July it was about 12 inches lower. My husband stood beside the wall to give the perspective, he’s 6 foot tall,he’s pointing to the flood level in January this year; the river is about 10 foot lower than where he’s standing.
I’ve just looked at Kim’s rainbow photographs and the reminder that God will never flood the whole earth again. After taking the photographs and knowing the utter misery flooding brings to people it was great to be reminded of this wonderful promise the Lord gives to Noah and us.
