We usually have at least two people for hospitality on Sunday, this recipe was an experiment, I’ve since found variations of the recipe. everyone enjoyed it, so I thought I’d share the recipe. It’s basically your usual crumble topping but substitute 2 tablespoons of flour with 2 tablespoons of Cocoa Powder.
1 large tin or container of pears (Drain the juice)
200g plain flour – 2 tablespoons
Cook for 30 – 40 minutes at 170 C (Fan Oven)
2 tablespons Cocoa powder
100g Margarine / Butter
100g Granulated Sugar
Make the Crumble mixture, rub margarine into the flour and cocoa powder, then add the sugar.
Put the pears into an oven proof dish.
Cover with the crumble mixture.
Bake.
Serve hot or cold with Vanilla Ice Cream

Sounds great – I love a variation on a theme!
