Of my finger-prints to see
On furniture and walls and things
From sticky, grubby me.
But if you stop and think awhile
You’ll see I’m growing fast,
These little hand-prints disappear
You can’t bring back what’s passed.
So here’s a small reminder
To keep – not throw away,
Of tiny hands and how they look
To make you smile one day.
I read a poem at Naomi’s blog yesterday which reminded me of this one. Becky made a calendar at Pre school which had this poem, her hand prints and a photograph. I’ve used the idea for a craft activity at Mums and Toddlers with a verse of Scripture on the calendar too.
Time with our children is precious and limited, so often I don’t appreciate the present.

That’s a beautiful poem, too, Ann. That’s a great idea for a calendar!
