That’s me today. I poured boiling gravy over my left hand yesterday lunch time . I let out a yelp, it really hurt. I held my hand under cold running water for an age, however, I spent most of the remainder of yesterday with my hand either in a bowl of cold water or with a muslin square soaked in cold water, it was the only way to stop the burn from stinging.
The burn is on my fingers , knuckles and a little of my palm, I can’t bend my fingers or grip easily with the hand. I didn’t realise how much I used my non dominant hand, I’m having to give lots of verbal instructions to my “willing helpers!”

Oh poor you Ann! That is really unpleasant.
I once put my hand on one of those flat hobs to test if it was on (!) and burned my entire palm! ~Very daft of me I know!
OH! That smarts!
I’m so sorry! A burn just doesn’t let you forget it’s there for an instant.
I’m glad you’ve got willing helpers.
Praying,
K
Thank you both for your kind thoughts and prayers, I’ve had lots of phone calls too. to date it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
I’m glad it’s not as bad as you thought it might be. Just popped in to let you know I’m thinking of you.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be a big improvement!

My first son burnt both his palms on his first birthday. I had the heat on for the first time that winter and he didn’t realise the radiator was on. Learning to walk, stumbled, clung to the nearest thing…..
you can imagine.
All his birthday photos show one of his hands all bandaged up!!
Scalds are scary. Hope you are feeling better soon.
