I saw this at Kelli’s blog, No Place Like Home. Here are a couple of special things which are memory banks for me.
My husband bought the card for me on our tenth wedding anniversary. I remember it especially well because he was away with his work in the USA, he bought the card there. I love the scripture verse from 1 Corinthians 13, what a great verse for a marriage, we have our ups and downs, joys and sorrows yet the Lord is good and helps us through the difficulties and with His help we’re able to keep the promises we made. I wanted to keep the card and looked around for quite a while for the right frame for it; I found the frame in good old Marks& Spencer, USA meets UK!
The other photograph is a Welsh Tapestry Throw which mostly covers a futon in the conservatory . It was woven at Trefriw Woollen Mill in the Conwy valley in North Wales, a place we love to go for family holidays. The woollen mill is an interesting place to visit and it has a Coffee Shop!

Fantastic items you’ve shared. I especially like the framed card!!! Wow.
Hope you can drop by and visit with me and my show n tell sometime soon.
Love the reversible look of the throw.
Susan
We drove by that mill when we stayed in Conwy but we weren’t able to stop. Shoulda woulda coulda as we always say! Good ole Marks and Spencers. I love your country!
The woollen mill looks like a great place to visit.
Both items are really unusual and pretty.
Susan, I like the throw’s reversibility too.
Ellen, the Conwy valley is beautiful.
Naomi, the mill is a fascinating place, there are lots of walks if you go into the hills above Trefriw. There’s a lake called Llyn Crafnant which is one of my favourite places.
Diolch yn fawr am ddod i’m mlog heddiw. ( Think that’s right)
Thanks for coming to my blog today.
The card looks just beauitful in that frame and the throw is lovely.
You did an excellent job in finding the perfect frame for the card; it looks so nice!! My husband has a welch ancestory–and in honor of it my daughter’s name is Eowyn and her daughter’s name is Rhianwen
What a wonderful show and tell! The framed card is a wonderful treasure and the tapestry throw is beautiful! I hope you are having a great weekend!
